What to expect at Cornerstone: Going to a new church can be a little daunting or uncomfortable for some people.  This is especially true if you aren't sure what to expect when you get there.  So, here are a few of the things you may encounter when you visit Cornerstone.

Before the Service: The first thing you'll see is a lot of people talking, laughing and generally enjoying each other's company.  One of our primary values at Cornerstone is for people to make meaningful connections with others.  We believe this begins the moment you leave your car and continues until you're headed home.  Authentic, meaningful relationships are the key to a healthy lifestyle.

The Worship Center: Although built in 1959, our worship center is filled with loads of contemporary items and historic symbols.  Seating is auditorium style with comfortable individual chairs.  Overhead lighting is designed to provide a welcoming and friendly environment.  Musicians on the platform and ushers at the door all serve to enhance your Cornerstone worship experience.

There are pictures of missionaries we support around the world and a variety of Bibles, books and pamphlets on tables in the back.  Please help yourself. There is no cost for these materials.

The Music: If you're coming to Cornerstone expecting traditional "church" music, I hope we disappoint you in a good way.  There's not much traditional about services at Cornerstone, but there is a lot of energy and expression.  We believe that music of all types was created by God, and He loves it.  We have the opportunity to express our love for Him in a wide range of musical styles.  When we bring these songs together for our services, our desire is to please God and then bring enjoyment and inspiration to everyone who is in attendance.  From rock to country, classic to R&B are just a few of the styles you'll hear at Cornerstone...all performed with excellence in mind.

The Message:  Since we've already addressed "traditional", it should be no surprise that you will "see" and "hear" messages that are relevant to life in 21st century America.  Biblical truths are creatively expressed through performing and graphic arts, multi-media and the spoken word.  Our methods of delivery are timely, but the messages themselves are timeless.   Cornerstone is a place to come and hear, ponder and discover the teachings of the Bible from Jesus, the apostles, the prophets and other historical leaders.  Each week's topic will give you much to think about and apply to your daily life.

The Outcome: At the end of every service, there is a time for people to respond to God and interact with Him.  This may include private times of praying on your own or, if you desire, praying with others.  It may also involve making personal decisions or getting more information and assistance about something of interest.  Regardless of what that response looks like, just know that we're available to help you understand and experience everything God may be saying to you and/or doing in you.

The Conclusion: After the service, people gather on the patio for refreshments, talking and just hanging out.  We really do enjoy just being together.  Hopefully you will, too.
